What is the most elegant and formal meal that can be served?

Think about a Presidential Inauguration or perhaps the Academy Awards dinner, if you were in charge of serving and catering what would your menu be?|||Starter: Various Amuse bouche during a cocktail hour with an open bar.

Soup: Vichyssoise

Salad: Vinaigrette Waldorf with Mesclun greens

Entree: Trout en Papilotte, Pheasant, Venison, medallions with wild mushrooms

Sides: Baby roasted vegetables

Cheese course: Roasted Brie, muscatel grapes, Stilton

Dessert: Poached pears in Merlot.

BTW, I am an American.|||Crab stuffed mushrooms, mini quiches, assortment of cheeses, roasted portabellas stuffed with cheese, brie, pate, baguets, greek salad w/feta, leek soup, roasted potatos, sausage and rice, steamed green beans, mixed steamed vegetables, roast cornish game hens, chocolate melting cake with vanilla ice cream. AND WINE!|||1. Tomato sauce with cream

2. Pork steak on pepper with green beans (whole, chopped green beans are awful)

3. Salmon meat, put it in aluminium foil and throw it in some glass baking ?pan?, bake it at 260C掳 and

check it from time to time. The foil will protect the meat from drying up and it will be ready-to-serve

as the meat is totaly falling appart!

4. Ice cream|||Not much good looking at the Yanks for elegance and formality. Essentially, they haven't got much class.

Try looking at French or Chinese meals.
