What is more elegant for wedding invitations in your opinion?

A card that you open or just a front %26amp; back to the invitation? what are your thoughts?|||I like the flat card invitations because they are easier to hang on the refrigerator or stick to my calendar so I can keep track of the wedding details.

I don't think either is more formal, inherently - it's the color, typeface, wording, and decorative elements that will make your invitation formal or casual. A flat card in cream with black embossed letters in an elegant script and silver border is going to feel very formal; a flat card in orange with printed blue lettering in a Comic-Sans-esque font and daisies on the border is going to feel more casual.|||A single page invitation. That's traditionally the way wedding invitations have been made and is much more elegant. It's the way Prince William's invitation is--obviously the Royal Family isn't going to do anything tacky. A card that you open is something only recently used for wedding invitations.|||im having this:

it was easier to show you :) so just a piece of card that you can see straight away the details of the event

anyway, thats the style i prefer - i think its just simple and classic.there is a simpler one but the writing is gold on the ivory and i prefer silver|||A little bit of both. We're using a flat invitation in a pocket fold. Four inserts are included as well in the fold. It makes a neat little package and is very classy.|||the card that you open it's more elegant and formal, if you were to go with casual I would just do the front and back. good luck|||neither. formal invitations are printed only on one side and do not fold. here's what you send:

invitation card

reception card- directions

response card %26amp; stamped return envelope|||I have to say pocketfolds are more elegant to me

you open it %26amp;all your info is there just looks real classy|||One that you open. It's more formal and therefore, more elegant.|||I think a card that opens is somewhat more elegant.|||I prefer a card you open, they seem more elegant.|||Opening. It mimics the unveiling of the bride :)|||I like one page invitations I think they can be classier.|||a card that you open
