How can i transform a party venue into something that is classy and elegant without being expensive?

i have hired a cricket club for a party venue and i want to decorate it to make it really elegant. i don't have much of a budget,where can i find cheap but classy decorations?|||I once did an event using rocks as the centerpieces. I piled them together in the center of the table, tucked in some moss from the garden and inserted a few flowers into the pile. It looked as if the flowers were growing out of the rocks. If you do this, make sure you get the small flower vials that florists use for corsages. This will allow the flowers to drink and not wilt during the party. Want to get more creative? Spray paint the rocks to match your color scheme. Don't want to use flowers? You can insert a few tall taper candles and create a very different feel.
