How do you appear, elegant and noble, in an attractive kinda way?

I mean dignified, graceful, but not like over happy and bubbly?

I don't mean by using makeup or anything though if anything can be done to the hair then it would be helpful)( have to wear a uniform ) ( am student)|||Always sit up straight and hold your head up it helps you look confident and dignified but not stuck up.|||people know when you are about yourself and that is not noble. They know when you are in service to what you believe is noble, and that is in itself noble.

the character traits of command are Poise, Grace, Gallantry, Courage, Vitality, and above all, Commitment to purpose.

The list could continue, but did you notice that these are all Virtues?

Virtues are the robes of great spirits and will be seen. People also notice when these robes are absent.|||I think Julie Andrews in the movie " The Sound of Music" was elegant and noble in an attractive kinda way. She was a breath of fresh air. If you can act like her or even better learn to be humble with a since of justice and balance it all out with honesty; then you will be the perfect woman. Good luck.

Can a fancy and elegant dress considered to be business casual?

I am going to a job fair, and even though I have suits, I just feel more comfortable in dresses, albeit classy ones (little black dress?). Would that be okay for "business casual"?|||I don't think that a classy fancy dress would be considered "business casual". Maybe a nice a line skirt with a fitted tucked in shirt. And a pair of nice heals.|||It sounds nice as long as it doesn't have cleavage, is not too short, too tight, or sparkle.

First impressions matter and you can make the "little black dress" more business casual by making sure the shoes are not too sexy (no stilettos! Try pumps, or flats) and the jewelry is appropriate.

Wear pantyhose for sure (not black).

Here are some ideas (this is what I do, maybe one, or a combo. will work for you?):

I try to add a splash of color first of all. Black is boring all on it's own unless it is a formal affair.

A square scarf with some color, non-dangle earrings, and a chunky bracelet will look great. The trick is to not sex-up the black dress but to tone it down a little bit.

A blazer or nice waist length cardigan will tone it down. Add simple earrings, and a necklace that is small and classy, or a statement, bold, one that compliments the cardigan/blazer but brings in more color.

A big colorful belt, with a scarf around the neck will look nice if the dress is plain, again with understated earrings. And a Big Bracelet that matches the scarf. This looks nice if you wear a black blazer or tiny black cardigan (for your size, I mean, not too tight, but fitted, and above the hips)

Think classy, not sexy. It might make an impression, but not the one you want if there are recruiters looking for serious-minded business folk, not fashionistas.

The Brooks Brothers website has great ways to tie a scarf for women, and you can find a style that compliments your dress and body type.

If you are worried about $$$ then you can go to a thrift shop where they will have tons of very inexpensive, but nice, colorful scarves, belts and bracelets (bangle-style).

Good Luck! I hope you find a job!!!!|||If its fancy and elegant then no. Those kind of dresses should be for only special occasions. However, If your dress looks like this then its ok. Its not fancy though. http://images-cdn01.associatedcontent.co鈥?/a>

TIP: When it comes to interviews or job fair try to wear a black skirt, with a white dress top and heels.

How can I dress elegant and rocker at the same time?

I like to wear rock style, jeans and black band shirt.

How about Jack Jones?|||ur a boy..so just always try to look clean. like clean shoes and clean hair.|||Oxymoron|||Try wearing nice jeans. Rocker shirt. Nice jewelry. Messy hair. :)|||well i love that the rocker look and i would like for everyone to keep it. so you could still wear that but put a black blazer over it. that doesnt look bad at all. you know like if you've ever seen viva la bam, Bam wears blazers alot. (i personally think its hot) so maybe you can get some ladies. ;-)|||black buttoned shirt with a red tie( its your choice if you were an elegant black jacket, but it looks good with or without the jacket). I think guys look hot in that. its totally elegant and rocker!

but if your not that kind of guy than wear a suit and get a rocker hair cut.(if you have long hair and dont want to cut it than just put gel, but dont comb it. if you already have the rocker hair- do than just style it like you always do. My point is to have a rocker hair-do with the suit! ok.)|||Leather skirt plus pumps.

I have a new elegant cream colored carpet in the master bedroom, what color should I paint the walls?

I want a dramatic sexy look for the master bedroom, what paint color can I use on the walls with my cream colored carpet?|||play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/

I think a dark, rich "chateau brown" (# 7510) would look stunning.

You can also take a photo of your house %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

http://www.roomvues.com/

You can get color suggestions %26amp; they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.|||Deff. deep red. Go with the dark red/browns. Then just stick to brown/red/pink decorations. Pink flowers, red/brown/beige bed sets.

But paint the ceiling the same color as the carpet, if you don't you'll be locked in darkness.

get light curtains, with pink/brown/red ribbons. Just play with those colors and it'll look fantastic!

If you don't like reds much, then do greens. Same, dark green/light green/ some pink/and blue. Very pretty!

Goodluck!|||I would choose light pink, I think it sexy look. More bedroom color tips, visit http://www.bedroomdesign2008.info/jokes_鈥?/a>|||a chocolate brown or a deep maroon..|||like a deep chustnut brown, or gold

What is the most elegant and naturally beautiful market town in the Home Counties?

The Home Counties are the suburban and exurban areas which surround Greater London.

A market town is a fairly large town that usually has a vibrant commercial High Street and a rail link to London.|||Wendover (Buckinghamshire), Henley on Thames (Oxfordshire). Petersfield (Hampshire), Arundel

(West Sussex). Godalming (Surrey)|||Out of the large towns I also thought of Tunbridge Wells as the best example, elegant because of the dominance of spa town inspired 18th-19th century building design and naturally beautiful because of the Tunbridge Wells Common area next to the old town.

In terms of much smaller towns I thought of West Malling (Kent) and Cuckfield (Sussex) because of the imposing historic architecture within them and the impact of surrounding countryside. Actually a lot of places would satisfy your description by varying degrees|||I wouldn't call it strictly a market town but Tunbridge Wells is pretty elegant.

What would be an elegant hairdo for my bob style haircut?

My hair is chin length in the front, and used to be short enough to spike out in the back, but I've grown it out some since then.

It looks pretty edgy and tough, and I like the look, but sometimes I just want to look pretty.

Any ideas how to dress it up a bit?|||I would use a pretty clip. Blow dry your hair with a round brush to give it a nice smooth look with a little volume.

What makes some people elegant and others not?

Do you think that elegance is innate?

I thank you for your answer.|||Those people do not put a thoughts of being elegant, they simply are. It has something to do with internal structure called Ethic. Elegance and many more just springs from it. Ethic is not what we think trying objectify it by definition. Same failure happen if you trying to define elegance.|||I think a person is elegant based on how they carry themselves, the way they take care of themselves, and how they treat others. Manners are a big factor in elegant-ness.|||I think that in most cases (and there are some exceptions) that it depends on how they were raised.|||first you have to define elegant,|||somebodys nature, up bringing and experiences.|||Elegance is simplicity and grace.|||Some people are just born with " it ".

What is the most elegant and formal meal that can be served?

Think about a Presidential Inauguration or perhaps the Academy Awards dinner, if you were in charge of serving and catering what would your menu be?|||Starter: Various Amuse bouche during a cocktail hour with an open bar.

Soup: Vichyssoise

Salad: Vinaigrette Waldorf with Mesclun greens

Entree: Trout en Papilotte, Pheasant, Venison, medallions with wild mushrooms

Sides: Baby roasted vegetables

Cheese course: Roasted Brie, muscatel grapes, Stilton

Dessert: Poached pears in Merlot.

BTW, I am an American.|||Crab stuffed mushrooms, mini quiches, assortment of cheeses, roasted portabellas stuffed with cheese, brie, pate, baguets, greek salad w/feta, leek soup, roasted potatos, sausage and rice, steamed green beans, mixed steamed vegetables, roast cornish game hens, chocolate melting cake with vanilla ice cream. AND WINE!|||1. Tomato sauce with cream

2. Pork steak on pepper with green beans (whole, chopped green beans are awful)

3. Salmon meat, put it in aluminium foil and throw it in some glass baking ?pan?, bake it at 260C掳 and

check it from time to time. The foil will protect the meat from drying up and it will be ready-to-serve

as the meat is totaly falling appart!

4. Ice cream|||Not much good looking at the Yanks for elegance and formality. Essentially, they haven't got much class.

Try looking at French or Chinese meals.

What an attractive and elegant crowd of people they are in Dewsbury. Have you seen them on the news?

Quietly and gracefully celebrating Shannon being found alive. Good to be British isn't it?|||Yes if your idea of a community is a bunch of inbred alcoholic unemployed firework hogging spongers then yes they do have a community, but not one i would like to ever be part of, what with they're super lager and cheap wine that even old wino's wouldnt drink, and as for shannons mum has she ever heard of contraception ? She must have spent her adult life on her back! |||Yes. Dewsbury is Darwin's waiting room.|||What is your problem exactly, you stuck up git?|||to appear on telly needing a shave and looking like a badgers bum is awful.

some of the blokes were just as bad.|||Agree with Lady Steph|||Don't be such a snob. From what I've seen on various new reports since Shannon Matthews went missing, there is a great sense of community amongst the people who live on her estate.

Instead of passing judgement on people with your sarcastic question/comment, you would have been better employed expressing pleasure that Shannon has been found safe and well.|||dont know about being british......maybe they should've waited as she's yet to explain what happened %26amp; be 'examined'

i think they're a bunch of pi55 heads who'll use any excuse for a booze up , coincidently its the day shannons been found!!!

yes im happy shes ok, but the local teen wallies will ruin it|||Any excuse to break out the Tennants Super on public streets. And why do they have a stockpile of fireworks in March?|||Do I detect a sense of sarcasm...... I think its great that a community should have such a spirit of togetherness, that so many areas of this country have lost. One of their own, possibly laying in a shallow grave, raped. Has thank God been found. What does it matter if they havent got the looks, theyre caring human people displaying a huge collect sigh of relief|||I am the 21st person to answer this question

And the answer is ------- No I didn't, but yes it is.|||Yes they are very classy......but who cares? Its great news...allow them to celebrate how they want :-)|||These are ordinary and real people, just letting off some steam after a long ordeal.

Different people have different ways of dealing with stressful situations.

What you've seen are real people,............. Not the pretentious individuals who pretend to be in control of their emotions, then fall apart when no-one is looking.

How would you deal with all that stress, then the VERY sudden realisation it's all over.

It's a bit like driving your car, hard, up a hill, then putting your foot down on the clutch pedal with the engine at full throttle - you'll rev the bollocks off it.!!

If you don't know it's coming, you can't wind down gradually, and if you can't wind down, you let it all out in a big crescendo.|||Aren't you lucky not to live like that?

If you open your eyes, there are 1000's of people like that in this country.

No shortage of Heroin around Dewsbury that's for sure.

It's a terrible crying shame especially whilst MP's are decking their gaff's out with our money, that we allow our countrymen live like that? You can bet those people, if they went out to vote, voted Labour.

You need to take a look at yourself.

Fabulous!

Edit. Great Answer - Grey Mare.|||you my dear have just made yourself out to be a snobby pretensious nasty and stuck up cow! i live in yorkshire infact not very far from dewsbury and i will say that the estate is a run down and not very well off estate and that some of the people that live there can be abit rowdy. but to critise the people that kept there hope alive within such a close knit community that that little girl was to be found alive is totaly selfish and thoughtless. them people on the dewsbury estate showed commitment and bravery in a time when a little girl was predicted to be found dead and all came together to do anything they could for that family which is more than can be said for your snobby little ****. and if you look closly there is people like the people of dewsbury all over the country even near you and you shouldnt be putting yourself above them and not talking about attractiveness and elegencey, the world is not about them things hunny its about equality and community. think about what you say next time and just be happy that that little girl is alive and well. WELCOME BACK SHANNON GOD BLESS XXX|||yes love to be on tv don't they good old yorkshire always stick together|||I hear where your coming from carnival queen (did you lose your avatar by the way of Kelly Brook I believe)

anyways ...........

yes I found it strange the way they celebrated, considering that for all we know poor Shannon could be in hospital recovering from a rape ordeal. No-one should be doing anything until its confirmed she is OK. I know its great she's alive, but we should still tread cautiously in case there is some distressing stuff still to come out.

Also how many of them are using it as an excuse to be on national TV? (cynical, but i bet its true for some)|||They are happy Shannon has been found. WTF is wrong with that?

If my daughter had been missing and feared dead for three weeks you can bet your life i would party.

what you some kind of snob?

edit: Sir dave..heres a feather.......SHES ALIVE FFS! would you rather she was dead? just to prove your theories right? Grrrrr sometimes dave i could just smack you one !!

:)|||Good to be English.|||the best.|||*laughs* with a sad tint of shame for laughing and shame for knowing the answer to this Q|||wow - its great to be british - well actually not if being british means being a rude, condescending, snob.

This community never gave up hope or stopped searching for Shannon - they orgnasized marches to keep her face in the news and 100's turned out to search for her.

Sorry to say but not everyone is well off or educated or speaks with a posh accent but at least they got off their backsides and tried to find her. It may be that this will turn out to be a sad family tale but give that community the credit they deserve for caring.

They are happy she has been found alive - that is what they are celbrating. I think that community will be a lot more upset then you will be if it turns out Shannon was abused but at least she has been found alive.|||I think we can learn a lot from the Yorkshire community. They had hope and never gave up on the fact that Shannon would be found! God bless them all.|||I am proud to be British.

What exactly is a "field" - can you provide an elegant conceptual definition?

Thanks, but I am NOT interested in the run of the mill regurgitated stuff. 鈥?***I am looking for an elegant conceptual definition.*** 鈥?Like, for instance, the conceptual definition of gravity as the curvature of spacetime in the vicinity of a massive object, as set forth by General Relativity. Can you give an analogous conceptual definition of the field itself? Again, I am NOT interested in the traditional manifestations and definitions of the field such as lines of force, or its mathematical definition, or even more enigmatic expos茅鈥檚 like: field is the region of space characterized by a physical property, such as gravitational or electromagnetic force or fluid pressure, having a determinable value at every point in the region, etc.|||Try this one.

Depending on the field, it is a potential caused by the

particle carrier of the field. For an electromagnetic field

it can be thought of as if photons were the ground (or

landscape). How energetic these photons are and how

they travel cause the reactions we see in charged particles

moving through the field. Of course, the photons are virtual!

The virtual photons and the e+e- production (and other particle

antiparticle pair production if applicable) create the

hills, valleys, type of ground, etc. which affects how a river

(charged particles) will travel over it.

This is why field theory is based mathematically on the

second quantization of many photons. See for example,

"Gauge Field Theories" by Guidry

(which was my graduate field theory text)|||Unfortunately, those characterizations that you dislike are the correct ones. A field - plain and simple field - is nothing but a mathematical conceptualization; it describes the force that would act on an item of a particular property placed anywhere within space. It's always in units of newtons per property. Electric fields, for example, are newtons per coulomb (force per charge).

Gravity is rather special, in that we've been able to explain the values that a gravitational field takes as being the result of spacetime curvature. Other types of fields aren't necessarily the same way.

And, of course, that's only the classical treatment of fields. Quantum physics quantizes them, and treats them mathematically as particles, instead.

There are some theories that tried to treat other fields the same way as gravity, and some of them actually work; the problem is that you need extra spacial dimensions in order to make them work. Since no one has been able to verify the existence of extra physical dimensions, those sorts of theories have been somewhat ignored by science at large. There are still some physicists who work on them, though.

The actual, physical nature of many of the force fields in nature is the subject of some debate.|||A field is an array of numbers, with values associated with each point in space. There are many kinds of fields. Scalar fields have only a single value associated with each point in space (example: temperature) vector fields have multiple values. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_%28ph鈥?/a>

Fields are also defined in mathematics as arrays of values not necessarily associated with physical quantities.|||You want poetry not physics. A field is a non-existent mathematical concoction used to discribe a force acting over a distance between bodies and its strength per unit area.|||Well, you just described exactly what a field is. It is an area in space affected by some force. For example, a planet's gravitational field is the area in space affected by the force of its gravity. We have to resort to such descriptions because fields aren't really "stuff" like matter is. It's hard to talk about.|||You can think of a field as like a football field or a basketball court. Mathematically when you do certain operations in a field the result should still be found inside this Field. so think of it this way, when your playing a basketball game and your down 1 point with 5 seconds to go, you have possession of the ball and your team is the Atlanta hawks. there is no way that you can insert michael jordan or kobe bryant into the game to solve your problem because they are not part of the "Field". They were not part of the problem from the beginning so they cant be part of the solution. hope this kind of explanation is what your looking for.|||A field is the region in which one object has an effect on another, this is not enigmatic to me at all.

How about:

The electric field is the curvature of charge-time in the vicinity of a charged object.

The gravitational example seems no more or less clear to me! The point is that your question may be wrong, you are assuming ("What is") that a field is a thing. It is not, it is just a useful concept, kindof like numbers.

What is more elegant for wedding invitations in your opinion?

A card that you open or just a front %26amp; back to the invitation? what are your thoughts?|||I like the flat card invitations because they are easier to hang on the refrigerator or stick to my calendar so I can keep track of the wedding details.

I don't think either is more formal, inherently - it's the color, typeface, wording, and decorative elements that will make your invitation formal or casual. A flat card in cream with black embossed letters in an elegant script and silver border is going to feel very formal; a flat card in orange with printed blue lettering in a Comic-Sans-esque font and daisies on the border is going to feel more casual.|||A single page invitation. That's traditionally the way wedding invitations have been made and is much more elegant. It's the way Prince William's invitation is--obviously the Royal Family isn't going to do anything tacky. A card that you open is something only recently used for wedding invitations.|||im having this:

What kind of elegant bottle can I use for my homemade (sometimes carbonated) drinks?

I enjoy making my own drinks, sometimes with carbonation. At home I just store it in a regular plastic soda bottle. But I would love to be able to give my homemade drinks instead of wine as a host/hostess gift when I am invited to a party, since I am not a fan of alcohol. It would be great to have a recloseable bottle that looks beautiful and can keep the drink from going flat. My personal taste would be for a very ornate bottle, something exotic and unusual. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have seen some very gorgeous glass decanters with glass stoppers, but a decanter is not really a very portable way to carry a drink to someone's house, is it? And I am not sure the glass stopper can form a tight enough seal to keep the drink from going flat.|||Follow up on your suggestion with a glass decantor but look for them at tag sales, yard sales, garage sales, you will find inexpensive ones that are orginal, next I would melt wax around the corke, stopper to seal the bottle put a ribbon on the top or a lager bow on the top, if your homade potion is clear you can put a little food coloring in it to give it a holiday color.

Can you be elegant and poised without being very beautiful?

People always associate elegance and poise with physical beauty, but what if you aren't really beautiful? What if you are just average, if not a bit short and freckled? Will displays of elegance and poise make you seem beautiful, or can it not be achieved unless you are triple threat?|||I associate poise and elegance with demeanor and attitude, not looks. Elegance does have something to do with appearance but a woman can be decent looking and carry herself well and wear nice clothes thus making her elegant. I don't think Jackie Onassis was particularly attractive but she dressed well and carried herself well.|||People are attracted to people who put themselves out there as happy, confident , kind, interested, and worth knowing. Beauty is often obnoxious and not very interesting once the first layer of the onion is peeled away. Watch a few Audrey Hepburn movies. Not very tall, really kind of flat and skinny, not all that great in the hair department, but when she talked and moved she sparkled and glowed. A certain magnetism. Elegant and poised. Would not have made a beauty queen, but how many of those can you name, but I bet you knew the name Audrey Hepburn no matter how old you are.|||Hell yes you can be elegant and poised without being very beautiful.

Seen it a dozen times before.

It's all in how you carry yourself.

Beauty alone doesn't set off the chain reaction.

Poise and elegance, for those who appreciate it, are attractive qualities.|||Yes.

It really makes a difference if you have elegance and poise or not.

It may even make you seen more beautiful.

It shows confidence and confidence makes you hot.

Good luck.

:)))|||Yes, one can definitely be elegant and poised without being very physically attractive. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."|||Offcrse Hun! Beauty comes from within' .. If you have a good personality and a kind heart ..poise and elegance comes naturally. =)|||Poise and elegance is all about presence, not physical appearance.

What are some elegant looking dog breeds?

IMO, Russian Wolfhounds (borzois) are as elegant and aristocratic as they come! Such lovely lovely dogs. Every time I see one I think of royalty.

I love seeing old paintings from the 1600's with the borzoi (or simmilar looking dogs) in them. They are just so stunning.

Almost any of the sighthounds make me think of elegance. Dobermans as well, they have that lean appearance to them.

Oh, and who cares whether a breed is "elegant"? An "elegant" breed of dog doesn't really sound right.|||Samoyeds are beautiful =)|||yes afghans would be the most elegant hands down. but they are heapps and heaps of work to make them look that way. i used to be a groomer and most people don't spend enough time brushing out these dogs and end up with short hair due to knotting. these dogs need AT LEAST 2 sessions a day just brushing them for about 30 mins to an hour as there fur is so long and needs constant brushing. they are also pretty active so you need a nice big back yard and also be an active person. when taking them for runs they look unbelivably magestic although i would recommend putting fur up in like detangeling bags when taking them on runs to make your job easier. you can buy these at specialtiy grooming and pet shops. and even when using these they need at least 2 brushes a day. they will also need to be taken to the groomer every 6-8 weeks to get a small trim (as their hair keeps growing and touches the ground) and also washing and dring these dogs will need proffessional equipment or take him to a proff groomer.

also please do not buy this dog coz it looks elegant. you should buy a bredd that suits your lifestyle. this breed is ussually suited to ppl with lots of time on their hands (ussually older retired ppl have them). you have to be active and have alot of money to spend on this breed of dog. please choose carefully.|||maltease yorkie chiuaua poodles crocker spaniel

How to store game consoles in an elegant way?

We have tons of video game consoles plus a dvd player and all the accessories for each. The problem is, we rent a tiny house (so no room for a huge entertainment center and no option for building shelves) and we have no way to store all of this so it doesn't look hideous. Any suggestions?|||You would be AMAZED at how much better all the stuff on a tv stand will look SO much better if just the cords are in order! We have a 2 "shelf" tv stand, the tv sits on top of our DVD player, 2 game consoles and cable box, and the bottom shelf is open for the world to see!

I took a few twist ties, unplugged everything, wrapped all the cords in little bundles and then plugged everything back in, unraveling JUST enough cord. Then I used the twist ties to keep the extra lengths of cord raveled up, and our tv stand looks a million times better! All of our controllers/ remotes/ etc go into a fabric box right next to the tv.

For a tiny budget and a small living room, this solution worked WONDERS for us!|||I have a good sized armoire that I put all my stuff in, it has big doors so you can close it and everything goes away|||Try those baskets that you can store stuff in and then push them under somewhere.|||Buy a TV Stand. They work great, hiding the cords right behind them. Plus, they have enough room for all the games inside plus the DVD player. put the consoles next to the TV. They're easier to transport and you won't have to worry about fiddling with the camp stove during what's supposed to be a romantic moment. This is something I bring to picnics:

Cold Poached Chicken with Italian Salsa Verde

--2 large boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, rinsed under cold water, tendon and excess fat trimmed away

--water or chicken broth to barely cover

--salt and pepper to taste

Place the chicken in a medium skillet. Add liquid to come about 2/3 of the way up the sides of the chicken, sprinkle with salt and pepper, turn on the heat to medium-high, and cover. Bring to a gentle boil. Right away, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer between 12 and 20 minutes, depending on the size of the chicken breasts. Keep an eye on them--ideally you want to see some movement on the surface of the cooking liquid but you don't want a full-on boil. Try cutting into one after 12 minutes. There will probably still be a trace of pink inside; recover and simmer another 4 or so minutes and check again. The moment the pink is gone, the chicken is done and should be removed to a plate. Strain and reserve the broth for another use. (P.S: If you're short on time and you have access to a deli that sells really good-quality cold sliced roast beef, that works just as well as the sliced chicken!)

While the chicken is cooking (or you can do this the day before):

Piquant Green Sauce (Salsa verde)

--1/3 cup parsley leaves

--1 tablespoon capers, drained and rinsed

--3 flat anchovy fillets (optional, but they really add something, and even people who think they hate anchovies will not detect them in this recipe!)

--1 clove garlic, chopped very fine or pressed

--pinch dry mustard, optional

--1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, or to taste

--up to 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

--salt

Put all the sauce ingredients into the food processor if you have one. If you don't, you can finely chop them by hand on a big cutting board. Season to taste with the salt. Put the sauce in a shallow bowl and then put in the poached chicken. Turn to coat and chill a ouple of hours, or overnight if possible, covered.

When you are ready to pack your meal, take each chicken breast half from the bowl, put it on a cutting board, and slice about 1/4-inch thick crosswise. Arrange the slices in a Tupperware container or similar--something with a tight-fitting lid. Drizzle the remaining sauce over the chicken. Grind a little pepper over. Pack a plastic fork to serve the chicken slices.

Also pack: lots of good, crusty bread (and something to slice it with); a good compatible cheese, maybe a bleu d'Auvergne; some toasted salted hazelnuts or walnuts: fresh fruit in season (grapes? cherries? raspberries or peaches would get bruised); wine; chocolate.

I think your girlfriend will love it. You're a very thoughtful guy! All the best to you both.

What's the difference between elegant slutty and trashy slutty?

I mean the style btw. Just I like dressing slutty but I've been told there's two ways to do it, elegantly and trashy and obviously, I'd prefer to dress elegantly slutty, not trashy. I have no idea what the difference between the two are though.

Any help?|||I see your point. I like to dress 'slutty' at times. You feel kinda sexy and hot, and its quite exciting getting dolled up not just for other people, but yourself.

So back to your question;

Elegant slutty;

High waisted pencil skirts (above the knee.)

Tight shirts.

Plunging neck line tops

No back dresses

Net tights

Black heels

Trashy Slutty

Long boots with really high heels

Leather (only jackets will do)

Mini skirts (if you wear them with kitten heels and tights they will look okay)

Ripped tops

Two of the best are "mpix" and "shutterfly". You can create books of various sizes, pic out page styles, borders, put in text, and others. I have used shutterfly and was pleased. I'm working on one for mpix to see which is better and easier to use. This way all you have to do is upload your pictures, organize how you want them, and have them print it out. I'm pretty conservative and I prefer dresses without flowers. I've only seen her in two or three outfits that I've liked but I liked those outfits very much. Perhaps she'll become more consistent in her style of dress. There will be times when Michelle will be elegantly beautiful.

Start out with picking out recipes from Gordon Ramsay's cookbook series; or Jean Georges'. They're quite availabe, and some recipes are not too hard. If you asked me; I would consider starting first with some Caviar; Iranian if possible. This idea is foolproof and you have to be nuts if you don't know what caviar is. Next, I suggest pan fried foie gras; my recipe is simple; dress the foie gras with flour, salt, pepper, then sear it one minute per side, then reserve the sediments on the pan and put in some diced granny smith apples, with some brown sugar. Next, when the apples are caramalized, take away from the heat and then put in some port wine (i recommend taylor's 1692). Light a match and it should flame for a few seconds. Pour the mixture over the cooked foie gras and serve. OK NEXT, you would be well off with some nice pan fried tenderloin, with a rich reduction; the recipe should be availabe in those books or try Cordon Bleu's). For desert, the most ideal would either be a grand marnier souffl茅, or maybe a warm chocolate fondant with homemade ice cream. Finish off with petit fours (very important). OK Hope this Helps!

How can i be more elegant and graceful person? (low energy levels/self esteem)?

i am 21 years old. I feel i am a pretty girl.. but i am always tired, and feel like i don't have self pride to be elegant and graceful.

This is a reoccuring want of mine, to feel like a sensual women who is elegant. i just dont get how. i;d rather laze around (im on uni holidays so i can) and day dream..|||Posture is always a good way to start. It's passive and doesn't require a lot of energy. Also, develop good listening skills, they can fall into line with having low energy. Be careful however and try to avoid developing a reputation as someone too needy or a doormat.

Be engaging, ask good questions and try to get to know the people around you. In short, try to find your definition of grace. If you can't be the 'life of the party; then by all means try to be it's heart. Self-esteem usually takes a little while.

How do I type with elegant intelligence?

Hi, I wanna look smart in elegant. How do I type like that?|||The first thing you would need to do is correct your grammar. The sentences are 'Hello, I want to look smart and elegant. How do I type in that fashion?'

Anyway, it's not about using sounding elegant. It's about using immaculate grammar and bigger words. For instance, say 'I'm upset.' not 'I'm mad.' Use words that have a better depth of meaning. Make sure your spelling, grammar, and punctuation is correct. And always, always, always, know the meaning, spelling, and difference between 'to', 'too', and 'two', 'they're', 'their', and 'there', and 'your', and 'you're'. Also, you only use the word 'an' before a vowel, or the word 'hour'. It is not 'I'm with Chelsea an Mike.' It is 'I am with Chelsea and Mike.'

I hope this helps you, good luck :)

good luck have a good birthday|||Have you considered having a party to benefit a charity? The first thing I thought of was a pink ribbon party to benefit breast cancer research. As I have little imagination, I Googled and found it has, of course, been done previously. The Tea Party is more a 'just for women' idea but, the description of decorations would, I thought be of interest to you.

Your invitations would be worded similar to:

"...request the honour of your presence at a dinner and dance being held in honour of their daughter Mary's 21st Birthday, Saturday, etc.

The theme of the evening is a charity event to benefit ___".

Black tie. (Or - In place of black tie, pink, red).

(Pink) Red gown optional.

I don't know how else, for the women, this could be worded. It would need to be optional as some women aren't comfortable wearing pink or red so, perhaps: white with red (not optional), or red and white. See below for "red" ...

I've given formal dinner parties to benefit Guide Dogs for the Blind but couldn't imagine a theme for this (other than a house filled with large, furry, critters). We assigned friends to sell booklets of tickets, after dinner and during dancing, - $15 (5 tickets) and then put the stubs into a basket and 3 stubs were drawn (for 60 people) or 5 stubs for 100. The main prize was dinner for two at a Superior Restaurant (a $125 gift certificate); second prize a $90 gift certificate to an online food store (usually, Southern Season), and third prize a bottle of champagne, wine, or a liquor, for $60. When people know it's a benefit function they, usually, don't mind parting with a few dollars and, to this point, (less raffle tickets - see link), you would have a bit more than $600 to donate.

You could, also, have a Red Ball to benefit heart disease and ask that each person wear something red - the tables would be beautiful with red flowers and red heart-shaped favour boxes.

If you decide to do similar, contact the charity to ask for advice/ideas and let them know it's, mainly, to be a birthday party.

Have included, also, a website for Party Etiquette -it seems much of this wouldn't be applicable but think you may want to read anyway in case there are tips of interest to you.

As stated above, I am not very imaginative but you, perhaps, may be able to expand the field of vision! One wild idea I had (not formal, for sure) was a yachting party to benefit the Coast Guard; another was suitable for living in Spain - an equestrian-dressed event to benefit the Spanish Riding School (sorry).

Note: I think it's nice you've decided to do the big party event on your 21st as, in my opinion, 18 is too young to be considered an adult (I was, barely, an adult at 21 - am now an adult at 71).

***** Further note:

Just read reply following mine and as someone who grew up living 30m from NYC and lived in NYC for 4 yrs., know the sophistication/fashion level doesn't compare with London (where I, also, have lived - see My Profile) or Paris where I've spent a considerable amount of time. A London theme could be based upon a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace (one of which I've attended) or a Parisian High Fashion Evening with a French menu. I was born near Boston and went to college there - at every turn, you are reminded of American history. Clothing from 1750 - 1800 was lovely (see link with enlarged Gainsborough) but might prove too challenging for guests!

What was referred to as the Golden Age of French Couture was during the time (1947-1957) I was in my teens to early 20's (1950-1958) - my mother, sister and I, wore the same size so had many, lovely, ball gowns: links of some elegant gowns from this era. I wore a copy of the black chiffon gown, c. 1950's (centre pic.) - #3079(!) to a Holiday Ball at Annapolis in 1954 - friend wore a copy of the Pistachio-coloured gown, c. 1952, Ceil Chapman # 5564 - Joan's was pale grey with a sky blue sash (I borrowed it in 1955). Everyone I knew had "something" in gold lame although it's a colour not flattering to most. I, also, had a kelly green taffeta (as in right column - #3078) - it had to be shortened and had 17 yards of fabric to be hemmed!

As you can see - we were elegant!

View other pages on this, last, link - some are stunning for beading and lace ... you could have an elegant lingerie party (this would be remembered for generations!).
