I can't afford round tables, the hall will be providing banquet tables. How can I make it look elegant?

I am working w/ a very limited budget, my reception hall is the cafeteria of the church, and they will provide banquet tables for seating. The space is very limited, how can I make banquet tables look elegant w/o spending a fortune on decorations?|||You can buy 'banquet roll' this is a paper roll that looks like a table cloth.|||You didn't say whether the church has tablecloths for the tables. Check with them and see if they have some. Any damage/cleaning deposit will probably be a lot less than buying something.

Plain white cloths would form a nice base. My local, smalltown fabric store has narrow (1/4 inch wide) ribbon by the spool for about a dollar a 5 yard spool, and it comes in at least a dozen colors. If you have at least a couple of weeks, check out homesew.com. They have quite an assortment of ribbons for crafting. You should be able to find it in the colors you are using. I would just run a line or two of each down the center of the table, spaced a couple of inches apart, then scatter flower petals (real or silk) and leaves over them. If you have enough money, get a silk flower for the center of each table, and just tie a bow on it out of the same ribbons. Then use nice china dishes to hold the nuts and candy, and clear glass votive holders for candles.|||i think going with a classic white color for thing is your best bet as your main color for the tables. White wont make the space seem smaller!

You dont need round tables to make it elegant.

have your celebration be a fun and joyful occasion and people wont notice if you dont have a 'chocolate fountain'!

oh, congrats!!...|||buy some elegant table cloth. and do a nice feature in the middle of them using some colour
