What are some elegant looking dog breeds?

IMO, Russian Wolfhounds (borzois) are as elegant and aristocratic as they come! Such lovely lovely dogs. Every time I see one I think of royalty.

I love seeing old paintings from the 1600's with the borzoi (or simmilar looking dogs) in them. They are just so stunning.

Almost any of the sighthounds make me think of elegance. Dobermans as well, they have that lean appearance to them.

I think the Pappilion looks very elegant, and same with rough collies. I have two balck and tan dobermans, and I think they look elegant because of the muscle tone that you can clearly see, others think that the fur is the most elegant thing.|||Afghan hounds, greyhounds, and salukis are pretty elegant breeds.|||Th afghan hound is the most royal looking I think. The Salukis are very regal as well.|||Afghan hounds

Borzoi

Saluki

In my opinion most dogs can be elegant when they are properly groomed and prancing along on a show lead.|||Italian greyhound, Saluki, mastiffs, a well groomed Standard Poodle, Whippet, Rhodesian Ridgeback,|||I love the maltese|||afgan hound or pharoah hound|||If ur talking about fur and hair, then it depends how u groom the dog. a dog's fur can look really pretty and "elegant" as long as it's healthy, shiny, and the right length.

If ur talking about their just basic look and stuff, I would say a Saluki

Golden Retriever

Pomeranian

Yorkshire Terrier

Schipperke

Border Collies

German Sherpherd

a whole bunch of others.

Oh, and who cares whether a breed is "elegant"? An "elegant" breed of dog doesn't really sound right.|||Samoyeds are beautiful =)|||yes afghans would be the most elegant hands down. but they are heapps and heaps of work to make them look that way. i used to be a groomer and most people don't spend enough time brushing out these dogs and end up with short hair due to knotting. these dogs need AT LEAST 2 sessions a day just brushing them for about 30 mins to an hour as there fur is so long and needs constant brushing. they are also pretty active so you need a nice big back yard and also be an active person. when taking them for runs they look unbelivably magestic although i would recommend putting fur up in like detangeling bags when taking them on runs to make your job easier. you can buy these at specialtiy grooming and pet shops. and even when using these they need at least 2 brushes a day. they will also need to be taken to the groomer every 6-8 weeks to get a small trim (as their hair keeps growing and touches the ground) and also washing and dring these dogs will need proffessional equipment or take him to a proff groomer.

also please do not buy this dog coz it looks elegant. you should buy a bredd that suits your lifestyle. this breed is ussually suited to ppl with lots of time on their hands (ussually older retired ppl have them). you have to be active and have alot of money to spend on this breed of dog. please choose carefully.|||maltease yorkie chiuaua poodles crocker spaniel
