Any ideas for an elegant party for teens?

My friend Amit and I, well, let's just say we both enjoy planning parties and being at them. Recently, we've wanted to plan a party but instead of the usual wacky, no plan kind of thing, I want to try something elegant.


Any ideas? Nothing involving alcohol (d'uh) and consider that I'm on a kinda tight budget (50$)|||Hm, a nice idea would be to have a formal dance or tea party. Have some of your friends come over to your house and tell them to dress formally. The best part is all you have to pay for is the invitations (witch you can find cheap) and maybe some tea and a nice tablecloth (if you don't have one) It's really fun and cheap and Formal! (: Have some china and some tables so you guys can chat. Another good idea is to make cupcakes or a cake to put on the table too.

-Clare|||Make your own invites instead of buying them, Staples has some really cute and elegant paper with designs on it. Instead of a DJ get your Ipod and come up with some really good dance mixes, and just hook it up to some speakers. Instead of buying food make it yourself and ask some friends to help (that can be a mini party itself). Get some decorations like lanterns, wall art, or wall coverings to turn a boring room into a party room. Just a few ideas hope it helps!|||Without alcohol, nobodies gonna enjoy the party, believe me, im a teen. Everyone needs to have SOMETHING to loosen up with.





And second of all, how in the heck do you expect to have an "elegant" party with only 50 bucks?


"Elegance" costs money.


Dont expect to get any kind of sweet 16 with 50 bucks...


I think your best off getting some streamers for decoration, but thats still nothing CLOSE to elegant....are you just stupid?





Elegant for 50 bucks and no alcohol....wow. You need help. What kind of teen are you?|||Host an appetizer or tapas party. Everyone can bring something to share. You could have an international theme and have everyone bring something from a different country.|||well i am a party planner and id recommend a elf princesses sword (lord of the rings) or mcdonalds HAPPY MEALS!!!!! but if it was me id go with the elf princesses sword ( thats SEXY!!)
